DINNER MENU

Classic garden salad, rolls & butter, fresh assorted berry parfait with whipped cream, coffee & tea, your choice of entree:

BEEF: Sliced NY sirloin with demi-glace, baby red and salt potatoes with parsley and butter and roasted fresh vegetables

CHICKEN: Herb panko crusted chicken with roasted garlic and orzo butter, classic mashed potatoes and roasted fresh vegetables

VEG: Butternut squash ravioli with brown butter and sage cream and shaved manchego


EVENTS OF THE EVENING

Create a vision board that illustrates your hopes, dreams, and inspiration for children and their development. Include ways your teaching practice supports your hopes and dreams for children. Use images, drawings, stories, doodles, children’s art or anything that helps to communicate your vision for early and/or school-age education.
INSTRUCTIONS: Please use foam board or cardboard, no larger than 24’ X 36”. We will provide easels for display. Please indicate whether you will participate on the reservation form. Be creative and have fun!


NOMINATE SOMEONE GREAT | NEW NOMINATION PROCESS
One winner will be selected from each of the new award categories, limit one nominee per program. All nominee names will be read and recognized for their nomination. Winners will be called to the podium to receive their award and speak (optional). Nominate by sending a letter or video with a story that demonstrates the reason for the nomination. Please include the information below, either in the recommendation letter or email body if submitting a video. Video nominations will be contacted for photo releases. Videos may be shared on social media.

Award Categories:

CREATIVITY IN PLAY

Thoughtfully creates open-ended play opportunities and encourages children to use their imagination. Nominee places emphasis on activities that spark curiosity, exploration, and problem solving. 

ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN MOTOR DEVELOPMENT

Actively supports children’s motor development by encouraging play designed to practice and perfect small and large movement. Nominee recognizes the necessity of movement in supporting healthy development.

ALLY FOR EMOTIONAL GROWTH

Crafts an environment where children feel safe and secure, laying the foundation for healthy social and emotional development. Nominee understands the importance of social emotional development and embeds healthy practices into everyday activity.

COMMUNICATIONS CHAMPION

Optimizes children’s speaking and listening opportunities and creates a literacy rich environment. Nominee plans stimulating language and literacy experiences; and communicates effectively with parents.


DIANE MECKLER SCHOLARSHIP

Each year, one scholarship is awarded to a professional who has exhibited leadership in the field of early childhood or school-age care. The scholarship will be up to $1,000. To apply, please submit the following information: 
Name, phone & email, program name, license/registration number, number of years you have worked in the child care field, & how you will use the scholarship. Include an essay stating the reason you should be the recipient. Be sure to include a description of your leadership accomplishments. Please include your name, phone number and email in the top left corner of the essay.
